Khuoi My is a Dao village on the slope of Tay Con Linh, 10 km from Ha Giang city. Stay one or two nights. We pick you up when you call, feed you from our garden and help you plan your next stop. One price covers all of it.

Which one? If you have a flight or a night bus within 48 hours, take one night. If not, take two. The first evening only gets you here. The second day is the one that rests you.
Is this for you?
A good fit if you finish the Loop in Ha Giang city and want one or two quiet nights before your next bus, train or flight. You are tired, sunburnt or sore, and you do not want to plan anything. You travel alone or as a couple. You like simple food from a garden and a night in a mountain village.
Not a fit if you want nightlife: Khuoi My is quiet, and the city is 25 minutes away. You need a room on Tet or a public holiday: the packages do not cover those nights. You want to stay longer than two nights: see Long Stay. Your Loop ends far from Ha Giang city: write to us and we will price the pick-up.

The package costs about 5% more than the priced items. For that you also get welcome drinks, one experience a day and the planning talk. Above all you get nothing to arrange: no taxi to find at 17:00, no lunch to find on your rest day. Dollar amounts at about 26,000 VND to the dollar.
How it works
- 1. Write to us. Tell us the day you expect to finish the Loop, how many of you, and one night or two.
- 2. We confirm. We send you the room and the price. We send the transfer details. A 50% deposit holds the room for 24 hours from our quote.
- 3. Call us when the Loop is over. Message us from the city. We book the car and send you the plate and the time. There is no fixed timetable, so you never wait for a pick-up slot.
- 4. Shower first. The rest is ours.
Pick-up and drop-off are inside Ha Giang city, between 07:00 and 21:00. For the drive back, message us 30 minutes before you want to leave. If your Loop ends somewhere else, tell us and we will price it.

How the days go
2 days, 1 night
Day 1. Arrive when your Loop ends. Message us, we send the car, and you are at the lodge about 25 minutes later. Shower first. Give us your laundry. Dinner is early or late, as you like. Nothing is scheduled.
Day 2. Breakfast when you wake. Choose one thing from the Choice Card, or nothing. Lunch. The room is yours until 16:00, then we drive you back to the city, to your bus, your hotel or your next car.
3 days, 2 nights
Day 1. The same as above. Shower, laundry, dinner, sleep.
Day 2. The day with nothing in it. Sleep late, walk the garden, sit on the deck. Lunch is ours. At some point we sit down with you for 30 minutes and talk about your next stop. Choose one thing from the Choice Card if you wish. Early dinner, early bed.
Day 3. Slow breakfast, lunch, and we drive you back at 16:00.
The Choice Card
Each day you may choose one thing, or none. Nobody keeps a timetable for you.
Cook with the kitchen
Pick vegetables in the garden, then cook one dish with our kitchen team. Up to six people at a time.
Walk the garden slowly
With one of our gardeners. The garden is almost two hectares and what is in bloom changes month by month. Ask what is in flower this week.
See where the waste goes
Kitchen scraps become compost, compost becomes soil, soil becomes next month’s vegetables. We also ferment our own natural cleaning liquid from soapnuts, about 300 litres a year. You can see it and smell it.
A quiet corner
A table, paper, pencils and a view of the mountain. Write the Loop down while you still remember it. No class, no teacher.
The pool
Open in the warm months. In winter the water is very cold, and we say so.
What we do not do. We do not stage culture. We do not ask anyone to dress up for photos. If you would like to visit a village household, we ask the family first. It happens only when they agree and are paid. Tell us, and we will say honestly what is possible that week.
Prepare for your next stop
The Loop ends in Ha Giang. The trip does not. Many people leave with no plan and lose a day in a bus station. Here is how we would do it.
Keep one spare day
Rain closes roads on the Loop, and the Loop can finish a day late. Do not book a flight or a tight connection for the morning after you finish. One spare day costs less than a missed flight. If you fly out of Hanoi, plan to be in Hanoi the day before.
Getting out of Ha Giang
There is no airport in Ha Giang. Most people go on to Hanoi by sleeper bus or minibus, or by road to Cao Bang. Timetables change with the season and the operator, and we do not quote hours we have not checked. Tell us your day. We check the current timetable and help you book, or arrange a private car.

Before you leave
- Passport. We declare every guest through the national app. Bring your passport.
- Visa. Check your dates and leave room for a day’s delay.
- Laundry. 60,000 VND per kg, no ironing. Give it to us the day you arrive.
- Bike or car. Photograph it when you return it and keep the receipt.
- Insurance. If you saw a doctor, keep every receipt. If you are hurt or ill, tell us and we will help you reach care in Ha Giang city.
- Photos. Back them up while you are on good Wi-Fi in the shared areas.

Hot water in every room. Filtered drinking water is free. Wi-Fi is in the shared areas; the signal in the rooms is uneven. Need a meal outside these hours? Tell reception and we try.
Getting to the lodge
After the Loop you do not need to find anything: we send the car. If you come to us another way, or before your Loop, this is the road.
- Hanoi to Ha Giang city: about 6 hours by road. Limousine bus by day, sleeper bus at night, or a private car. There is no airport and no train in Ha Giang.
- Ha Giang city to the lodge: 10 km, about 25 minutes. A Green SM taxi costs about 110,000 to 150,000 VND (4 to 6 USD). Send us your arrival time and we book it for you.
- At the lodge: free private parking at the foot of the property, a secure spot for motorbikes, and an electric shuttle for your luggage. We receive guests until 22:30.

Booking and payment
We have ten rooms. We hold a room only once the deposit has arrived.
- Write to us on WhatsApp or at info@tvpalm.com: the day you finish the Loop, how many of you, one night or two.
- We confirm the room and the price, and send the transfer details.
- Pay a 50% deposit by Wise, Revolut or bank transfer, in any currency. We hold the room for 24 hours from our quote. If the deposit has not arrived by then, the room goes back on sale.
- Pay the other 50% at the lodge, by card or in cash.
Prices are in US dollars with 10% VAT included, at about 26,000 VND to the dollar. A VAT invoice is on request.
If your plans change: cancel 14 days or more before arrival and the deposit is refunded in full. Later than that, it is not refunded, but you can change your dates once if you tell us at least 72 hours before and a room is free. Landslide, flood, storm or a road closed by the authorities, on our road or on yours: we change your dates free of charge, valid for 12 months, or refund your deposit in full. Not everything is perfect. One Tripadvisor guest gave 4 out of 5 and questioned the value of the tours booked through us. We read it.
Before you book, the honest part
Pick-up is on call, not on a stopwatch
Many tours finish around 17:00 and taxis in Ha Giang are not always free then. We book as soon as you message us. If you can warn us the day before, we can plan around it. We do not promise a number of minutes.
It is 10 km from the city
About 25 minutes by road. Dinner in town is possible, but you will need a ride back.
Winter is cold
Some days fall below 10 degrees. There is no air conditioning and no central heating. The rooms have heated mattress pads and the restaurant has a fireplace. Bring warm layers. The pool stays open, but in winter the water is very cold.
Wi-Fi
It is good where you will use it. A few rooms deepest inside the property are weaker, and we are upgrading the network. If you need to work online, tell us before you arrive and we will choose your room. We have not measured the speed, so we do not quote one.
Mobile signal
Viettel is very stable at the lodge. Vinaphone and Mobifone are weaker.
This is a small lodge, not a resort
Ten rooms, a garden, a kitchen. Most of our team is local, mostly Dao, and some are still learning English. Be patient with us, and we will be honest with you.
Loop dates move
Weather and road closures move Loop dates. Tell us as early as you can. We move your dates at no charge, valid for 12 months, or refund your deposit in full.
Questions
Do I need to ride the Loop with TVPalm?
No. Any operator, your own bike, a car and driver. We are glad to have you.
Can I book from the road?
Yes. Write to us on WhatsApp the day before if you can. We have ten rooms, so we cannot always say yes on the same day.
What if I arrive very late?
We receive guests until 22:30. Tell us your time and we keep dinner for you.
Can I travel alone? What about three of us?
Yes. One guest pays $89 for the 1-night package and $145 for 2 nights. The car costs the same for one person or two, which is why the price per head is higher. For three or more, write to us and we will price it.
Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, at no cost, before and after your stay.
How do I pay?
A 50% deposit holds your room, by Wise, Revolut or bank transfer, in any currency. We hold the room for 24 hours from our quote. You pay the other 50% at the lodge, by card or in cash. Prices include 10% VAT. We send the transfer details when we confirm the room.
Do you give a VAT invoice?
Yes, on request. Ask when you book.
What about children?
Children aged 0 to 5 stay free in their parents’ bed, up to 2 per room. Children aged 6 to 11 pay 150,000 VND per night for dinner. From 12, ask us for the price of an extra guest. The pool has no lifeguard and the stream is close, so children must always be with an adult.
Food allergies, vegetarian, vegan?
Vegetarian and vegan are free. Tell us about allergies when you book.
What do I do all day if nothing is scheduled?
As little as you like. Sleep, read, sit in the quiet corner with a table and paper, walk through the garden, see where the kitchen waste goes. Or pick one experience from the Choice Card. Nothing is compulsory, and you can change your mind after breakfast.
Is the lodge better than a hotel in Ha Giang city?
Different. The city is easier for an early bus or a night out. The lodge is 25 minutes away, quiet, with dinner from the garden and a plan for your next stop. By our own numbers (see The maths above), the package costs about 5% more than the same items bought one by one, and you arrange nothing. If your bus leaves at 06:00, sleep in the city the night before.
My Loop ends far from Ha Giang city. Can you still pick me up?
Usually yes, but not at the package price. Write to us with the town and the time you expect to arrive. We price the car and tell you before you decide. The pick-up in the package covers Ha Giang city, between 07:00 and 21:00.
What should I know about the cold, the pool and the Wi-Fi?
The pool is open in the warm months. In winter the water is very cold. Winter nights on the slope of Tay Con Linh are cold too, so bring a warm layer. The Wi-Fi is weak in a few rooms: if you need to be online, tell us when you book and we say which rooms are weaker.
Are there cats at the lodge?
Yes, a few live around the garden (you can see them in the photos above). If you are allergic to cats or afraid of them, tell us when you book and we will say honestly how to keep your distance.
