The 1-day Ancient Snow Shan Tea trekking is a journey of “Aromas and Ancestors.” You will wander through Na Thac, a 300-year-old Dao Ao Dai settlement where life flows with the rhythm of the earth.
Beyond just a hike, this 1 Day Ancient Snow Shan Tea experience is an immersion into Living Heritage. You will stand among tea trees hundreds of years old, their roots entwined in mist and legend. Every interaction supports community empowerment, ensuring fair economic contributions to the Dao artisans who have guarded these forests for centuries.

  • 300-Year-Old Dao Heritage: Beyond a simple visit, this 1 Day Ancient Snow Shan Tea journey invites you to explore a traditional Dao Ao Dai village and witness the timeless artistry of high-altitude living
  • Snow Shan Tea Experience: Immerse yourself in the local culture by learning traditional handcrafting methods—from selective picking and pan-firing to brewing the perfect cup alongside Dao artisans
  • Ancient Tea Forests: The trek leads you deep into primary forests to discover ancient tea trees, living relics older than modern history, thriving at altitudes above 800m
  • Regenerative Travel: As part of your 1 Day Ancient Snow Shan Tea experience, you’ll join a brief session on biodiversity conservation and practice strict Leave-No-Trace principles to protect these sacred forests
  • Nature’s Reward: Wrap up your adventure at the Cloud Bar at TVPalm, where a marvelous sunset and a premium brew await to reward your journey

Perfect for:

  • Those who want to taste one of the world’s rarest teas at its source and learn the “Forest-to-Cup” process.
  • Travelers seek culture, interested in the specific heritage of the Dao Ao Dai and their 300-year-old traditions.
  • If you prefer “slow trekking” with time to stop, breathe, and photograph ancient bamboo groves and misty slopes.
  • Sustainable Travelers: Anyone who values a zero-plastic journey and wants their visit to directly support local ethnic cooperatives.

Not suitable if:

  • You expect 5-star luxury resorts or high-end city hotels.
  • You have a serious knee: While moderate, the tea hills are steep and can be slippery.
  • You prefer short, urban sightseeing over long mountain drives

  • Gear up and receive a safety briefing before hitting the road. (If you already in Ha Giang city, our easy rider will pick you up to the TVPalm Ecolodge)
  • Conquer the winding Pac Sum Pass
  • Reach Heaven Gate (Quan Ba), take photos of the famous Twin Mountains
  • Savor a delicious lunch in Yen Minh Town featuring local organic ingredients.
  • Tackle the legendary Tham Ma Pass (9-Turn Pass), a photographer’s favorite and a true test for riders.
  • Explore the Hmong King’s Palace (Vuong Mansion) in Sa Phin.
  • Check into your private room in Dong Van Town and freshen up.
  •  Spend your evening exploring the Dong Van Old Quarter or enjoying a coffee at “Café Phố Cổ.”

Spotlight: Conquering the legendary Tham Ma Pass. This zig-zagging masterpiece of mountain engineering offers the most iconic photo opportunity in Northern Vietnam

  • Accommodation: Not included
  • Lunch: Organic, “farm-to-table” meals at local eateries, featuring seasonal mountain vegetables and local specialties.

  • Ride along the Happiness Road toward Ma Pi Leng Pass. At 2,000m elevation, this is the most majestic part of the Loop.
  • Continue along the secretive and scenic M-Road, bypassing the main routes to reveal untouched landscapes and vibrant tribal life.
  •  Lunch in Yen Minh. Refuel in a quiet town surrounded by pine forests and rice fields.
  •  Ride back through Quan Ba, passing the familiar mountain silhouettes and rural life scenes, before descending into Ha Giang city.
  • 17:00 – Arriving back in Ha Giang City. Return to TVPalm Ecolodge to shower, relax, and store your gear.
  • 19:00 – 21:00: Depending on your schedule, board your luxury sleeper bus for the return journey to Hanoi.

Spotlight: Standing atop the 2,000m-high Ma Pi Leng Pass. Gaze down at the turquoise Nho Que River carving through Tu San Canyon—the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.

Your journey directly supports the Tay Con Linh Community:

  • Zero Waste: No single-use plastic policy.
  • Reforestation: A portion of revenue funds our annual tree-planting program
  • Education: We fund tourism skills and language training for local people
