Our Story

TVPalm Ecolodge was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to bring sustainable, authentic, and memorable travel experiences to the untouched corners of Northern Vietnam. Our journey began when a small group of passionate travelers and local families came together, united by their love for the breathtaking landscapes of Ha Giang, Cao Bang, and Bac Kan. We realized that these regions, with their majestic mountains, winding rivers, and welcoming communities, had so much to offer to the world—but needed to be introduced in a responsible and meaningful way.

In the early days, TVPalm started as a small ecolodge nestled among rice terraces and limestone cliffs. We built the ecolodge using local materials such as wood and stone, ensuring that the design blended harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Our goal was to create a place where travelers could feel at home while remaining close to nature. Over time, the ecolodge expanded, adding comfortable rooms, a natural swimming pool, and beautiful gardens, all maintained with eco-friendly practices.

From the beginning, we made sustainability our core value. Tourism can bring economic opportunities, but it can also harm the environment and disrupt communities if not managed carefully. That is why TVPalm focuses on minimizing waste, reducing plastic use, conserving water, and supporting renewable energy. We plant trees around the ecolodge, use organic farming methods in our gardens, and encourage guests to respect the environment during their stay. Every small step contributes to protecting the fragile ecosystems of Northern Vietnam.

Our story, however, is not just about buildings or eco-friendly systems—it is about people. The heart of TVPalm lies in the communities of Ha Giang and the Northeast. We partner with local families to host travelers in homestays, ensuring that visitors get an authentic cultural experience while locals benefit directly from tourism. Guests can share meals, learn traditional crafts, and hear stories passed down through generations. This exchange builds understanding and respect between cultures and helps preserve the heritage of ethnic minority groups such as the Hmong, Dao, and Tay.

Over the years, TVPalm has grown into more than just an ecolodge. We now organize guided tours that showcase the very best of Northeast Vietnam. Our most popular journey is the Ha Giang Loop, where travelers ride or drive along winding mountain passes, stopping in villages and viewpoints that few outsiders have ever seen. We also offer trekking experiences in Cao Bang, including visits to the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall and hidden caves like Nguom Ngao. In Bac Kan, we introduce visitors to the serene beauty of Ba Be Lake, a perfect place for boat rides and nature walks. Each tour is carefully designed to balance adventure, comfort, and sustainability.

But our mission goes beyond tourism. TVPalm actively supports community development projects, from building schools and providing scholarships for local children to organizing tree-planting campaigns and cultural festivals. We believe that tourism should leave a positive impact, empowering people and protecting traditions. Every guest who stays with us becomes part of this larger mission, contributing to a brighter future for the region.

Looking ahead, our vision is to continue growing responsibly. We want TVPalm Ecolodge to be recognized not only as a comfortable retreat for travelers but also as a leader in sustainable tourism in Vietnam. With the support of our dedicated team, local communities, and conscious travelers like you, we are confident that this dream will become a reality.

Our story is a journey of passion, responsibility, and connection. When you stay at TVPalm Ecolodge or join one of our tours, you are not just visiting a destination—you are becoming part of a movement to preserve the beauty and culture of Northeast Vietnam for generations to come.
