The communities around Tay Con Linh are among the most alive and meaningful parts of this place. Tourism only becomes responsible when it creates value with them, rather than simply around them.

Our responsibilities are shaped by

Fair work and professional growth

The same page emphasizes that everyone working with TVPalm should have a clear contract, a defined role, and real room to grow. Wages are described as being above the regional tourism average, training is provided regularly in safety, guiding skills, and hospitality, and all field guides hold full first-aid and risk-management certification. The intention is simple but important: this work should not be treated as casual labor, but as a profession people can be proud of and build a future upon.

Keeping value close to the land

On the current Community and Social Responsibility page, TVPalm states that its operating model is designed so the benefits of tourism remain primarily with the people of Tay Con Linh. It states that at least 70 percent of operational staff are local residents, 100 percent of guides and easy-riders are contracted directly from the community, no commissions are deducted from homestay families or local partners, and 20 to 30 percent of annual net profit is reinvested into community projects and environmental initiatives.

Culture without commercialization

One of the strongest things on the current page is its clarity around cultural dignity. There are no staged performances, scripted rituals, or attempts to turn villages into attractions for entertainment. Every interaction is expected to follow three simple principles: consent, appropriate context, and respect for dignity. Group size is kept to a maximum of eight so exchanges remain genuine and do not disrupt the natural rhythm of village life.

30% Profit reinvested in community & environment

70% Local employee

100% Authentic local experience

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

Youth, livelihoods, and long-term stability

One of TVPalm’s deeper concerns is helping young people find reasons to remain rooted in Tây Côn Lĩnh. Through work with the sustainable tourism cooperative, the aim is to create stable income, skill-building opportunities, and meaningful career paths, while ensuring that tourism complements traditional agriculture and forestry rather than replacing them.

What this means for guests?

Guests feel the difference because they are not taken through communities as though moving across a stage set. They encounter Tây Côn Lĩnh through the people who belong to it, hear stories that cannot be learned from images alone, and feel that the money they spend enters a more grounded and dignified circle of value.

Our long-term commitment

TVPalm wants more of tourism’s value to remain with local communities, for culture to be treated with greater dignity, and for the people of this region to have stronger opportunities to grow with tourism rather than be displaced by it. That is what social responsibility means here in practical terms.

At TVPalm, social responsibility begins with something very clear: no model of sustainable tourism has real meaning if local people are treated as scenery, support labor, or part of a performance for visitors.
